Having the opportunity to begin and continue my career at William Vaughan Company has been a rewarding experience. William Vaughan Company has allowed me every opportunity possible to grow as a professional, that I do not think I would have gained working at a large firm.
Additionally, I am a strong believer that the people you work with and the environment that you work in is what makes your job so enjoyable. Everyone here at WVCo is always willing to contribute as a team and help if you have questions, regardless of their position within the firm.

The Best Firm in Town

William Vaughan Company gives you so many opportunities. Although, I am only a staff accountant I am treated with a great deal of respect and given responsibility. Our open door policy allows me to learn and interact with people from all experience levels and all backgrounds, what a wealth of knowledge! The benefits, paid time off, and family atmosphere are unheard of at most firms, especially for first year staff to experience. Many others are forced to work certain hours and extreme overtime not allowing them to spend time with their families. Also, most firms want you to get your CPA within a year or so of starting, but do not give you the resources; William Vaughan Company provides you with a road to success. Recruits would have to look long and hard to find a company that compared to William Vaughan Company, still then not one that would beat WVCo.

A golden opportunity

I came to William Vaughan Company only a few of months ago. I can’t express how overjoyed I am to actually work for a company that values and appreciates its employees. I don’t know another company that could even enter this playing field. The company culture is relaxed. Our employees are brilliant in their specializations and it shines in their final product. I don’t know of any company that employees show more dedication, motivation and enthusiasm for their profession.

This brilliance doesn’t go unnoticed by the firm and its partners. This is the only firm that I have known of that throws baby and bridal showers for their employees to celebrate exciting changes in life. There are endless activities and celebrations of hard work and surpassing milestones. The flexibility allows employees to enjoy the warm months after putting in the hours during tax season. The benefit package can only be described as awesome! I could only describe my fit with this company as perfect. If you are looking to work for a firm that competes on the national level, but still has the personal small business touch--William Vaughan is for you.

You have worked for the rest; now come work for the best!

Work life at WVCo

I have worked for the William Vaughan Company for over 16 years now and believe this speaks highly for the firm's culture, opportunities, diversity, and flexibility.

The challenges and exposure to varying assignments keep each day interesting and exciting.

The people have never been anything but professional and respectful, even at the height of our hectic busy/tax seasons(!!).

Developing relationships with clients and other professionals locally adds to the entire picture of growth and evolution from an accounting graduate to CPA and being regarded as a trusted advisor.

Opportunities are endless.

Career Oportunities

William Vaughan Company has not provided me with just a job, the firm has provided me a career. WVCo provided me all the tools and endless opportunities to succeed in the accounting profession.
At that point of starting as an intern in 1997 to principal in 2006, the question in fact is now what I have to offer.

WVCO Atmosphere

From day one, William Vaughan Company has afforded me incredible opportunities for career, educational, and personal growth. The mentoring program put me in direct contact with the firm's top technical expert in my area -- tax -- which allowed me to learn directly from the best.

WVCo's flexible scheduling and technology allow me to shape my work around my life. During busy season, I start my day at the office at 5am or earlier, which allows me to be home during the evenings. On the weekends, I can use my laptop and wireless internet to work from my couch.

The firm's commitment to continuing education has sent me to some of the AICPA's top tax technical sessions over the past three years. I've been pushed to expand my horizons and have been supported 100% through the process by William Vaughan Company.

The only limits on my potential here are those that I place on myself. I've found that William Vaughan Company is a place to challenge and be challenged, to learn and apply your knowledge on a daily basis, and to be treated with respect and fairness throughout the entire process. It's a great place to work and thrive.

Our firm is expanding

William Vaughan Company is searching for quality people to join its growing team of CPAs and CPA candidates. If you are an experienced auditor in the non-profit arena or savvy with employee benefit plans; if you have one or more year's tax experience during busy-season at a public accounting firm; or if you are a recent college graduate or soon-to-be grad with a GPA of 3.5 or higher, we'd like to hear from you!

Unlike other firms, we pay our employees hourly (+ overtime), which reaps big rewards when you are working all those hours between January and April 15th. Our benefit package is phenomenal: medical, dental, vision with a national insurance carrier, 401(k) profit sharing and match, tuition reimbursement, and generous paid time off -- even in your first year. Plus, we will help you with expenses and support you while you study for and pass the CPA exam, putting you on the road to success!
